Almost As Annoying As Popup
Blinking Banner.
20beans.com is blinking a banner for Steven's blog now. Steven likes it. Of course, he likes popup too.
Anyway, only one blink is allowed here. You can see it blink forever there.
of course, i hate stupid people too.

Earlier this week, I had a surreal conversation with a few friends. We talked about maths, politics, advertisements, etc. Someone even asked another someone tricky questions about sexual orientation.
No, that's not the surreal part.
The drama—to me, at least—began when yet another someone started to made fun of someone's breasts and someone's partner. (Trust me, you don't want to listen to the joke. It's lame.)
No, that's not the surreal part too.
I was shocked when another someone and one more another someone laughed at the joke, hilariously. Someone asked them to stop, four times.
No, that's still not the surreal part.
I didn't know how to react. In fact, I was silent. After a while, every someone stopped laughing, the joke died, conversation continued blah blah blah. That's surreal!
I wish I told them I was feeling uncomfortable. I wish it's just I didn't realise they're very good friends that the joke was okay. I wish I was thinking too much. After all, the breasts were not mine.
Someone, grant me three wishes please.
UPDATE: I was desperately looking for the word, which I was sure I knew it but just couldn't spit it out, to use instead of ‘surreal’. I get it finally—it's ‘bizarre’. Anyway, now I like ‘surreal’ more.
You must love this Björk interview.
Of course, you don't have to love her music—I prefer listening to Stephy too.“You know, its ironic that just at the point the lawyers and the businessmen had calculated how to control music, the internet comes along and fucks everything up.” Björk gives the finger again, this time waving it into the air. “God bless the internet,” she adds.
And what about you, then?
“I'll still be there, waving a pirate flag.”
QT's Diary, by Quentin Tarantino or not.

And today I found Noam Chomsky's!!
Encouraging to know you are still fighting the heat. I am shameful to admit I surrendered at last by having my machine repaired last month after spending nights sticking my back on the sweating bedsheet...
Everytime I get on any public vehicle in Hong Kong and find there are so many fridges (really, you're freezing inside even in a 35-C summer!) running in the street, I think it's hopeless. Probably it will be more and more difficult as temperature rises forever, so it's pertinent that we really try our best. Toby, I will buy a fan and join you.
Look at this fan.
Now you don't have that excuse to read the Playboy for the Google Guys interveiw, because Jason Kottke has extracted the whole article from Google's S-1 for you.
It is long (24 PgDns for me) and it tells nothing new indeed. But you should appreciate the Google Guys' patience when they talked about the fuss about Gmail and privacy.
Btw, kottle.org is pretty, amazingly pretty. Jason Kottke said it took years to achieve elegance. Oh, and a cat too, as mentioned in the 13th point:
PC users, you're missing out. This sucker looks great in Safari, Camino, or Firefox on OS X. Lucida Grande. Smooth type. Wundervoll.
Cheer Up 陳綺貞葡韻黃昏音樂會 (2004.08.28)
Reminder: It'll be on the same day of your Grand Opening pilgrimage to the Apple Store, Shinsaibashi.
During the long and painful process of moving my bookmarks to Bloglines and Furl, I discovered something fascinating, "the almost daily grind". It is the personal blog of Adrianna, 19, Chinese, Singaporean, female, and soon, undergraduate. By personal, I mean it's about being into Radiohead, into Tiger, too into Apple, and of course, romantic and sexy.
I wish I subscribed earlier so that I don't have so many interesting posts to catch up reading now. Yes, it's that fascinating.
UPDATE: The Almost Daily Grind is closed. Now she writes about Mac, School, Love and Work at Life in Mono. More fascinating.
